For over 20 years we have never wavered from this goal. The 6L’s are values and the guiding philosophy we have to measure the level at which we are making our mission an everyday reality.

Our Campus

Bodwell is the perfect combination of place, perspective, and purpose. British Our campus is a special place, one that not only holds classes or is a place to sleep and eat, but one that creates memorable experiences. Our campus enables our students to work, study, and play in a variety of ways. From tending the garden on the patio, playing soccer on the outdoor field, or relaxing with a book in the expansive library, students can find ways to discover new ideas and passions and build upon them.

Our Students

Our students, representing +40 countries, get to know each other’s cultures and create a foundation for living and working together. “Strength in Diversity” is a principle that all Bodwell students learn through the Bodwell House system. Each student is placed in one of house on their arrival here. Through healthy competition and teamwork, students learn about fairness, conflict resolution, tolerance, compassion, respect, and service to others. They grow as individuals and build a strong community together.

Our History

Our aim since the very beginning has always been to seek out and educate young people from around the world and encourage them to be global leaders, going forth to their communities and helping them grow. In a similar way, we have changed and grown through the years, always holding fast to our mission, re-investing the rewards of growth to help students thrive.

1991

The Beginning

Our original campus in 1991 was in the city of Vancouver and we had only six students in our first semester. We grew quickly, and in four years our enrollment grew to 250 students from over a dozen countries.

2003

Growing Up

We transferred our rich school atmosphere and community pride to a new harbourfront campus in North Vancouver. With boarding facilities, a full-size gym, indoor pool, and open air cafeteria, our enrollment grew to 400 students.

2011

Expansion

At our 20th anniversary, we completed an expansion project that enlarged the cafeteria, added new classrooms, and dormitory spaces. Our enrollment grew to 450 students and had 4,500 alumni from over 60 countries.

2017

Building the Next Phase

Our most ambitious project – a new multi-floor dormitory housing over 500 students sits atop an expanded library, second gym, multimedia auditorium, new classrooms, underground parkade, and expanded recreational facilities.

2020

Pressing Forward

Our motto “Education for a Changing World” becomes more poignant as the world deals with the COVID19 pandemic. We launched an ambitious online learning program geared to keeping students engaged around the world.

The Future

What’s next on the horizon?

There is no denying that technology is shaping the future of the world. At Bodwell, we are keeping pace, bringing technology into and out of the classroom, sensibly and responsibly. We do not implement technology for its own sake, but rather what truly serves the needs of ours students. We see technology as a collaborative tool that enhances the teamwork dynamic we have in place and have tailored our approach to technology with that in mind.
